Air Tightness Testing
Some examples of our Air Tightness Testing projects
Commerical Air Tightness Test
-
A large commercial building for a kitchen manufacturer opening a new unit on the island required a compliance test before hand over to the client.
-
The building was in excess of the L1 4000 cubic meters limits at 9920 cubic meters, but we were able to test this Level 2 building after hiring in additional equipment.
-
Our Air Tightness technician is qualified to Level 2 to perform these commercial Air Permeability Tests and issue reports and Certificates to Building Control Officers.
-
The result for this building was well under the Islands requirement of 7.0m3/m2/hr@50Pa at 4.46 which should ensure low energy costs with the level of insulation that was also provided by the design team.
Existing Property - Air Tightness Test
-
This is the smallest Air Permeability test we have so far undertaken for a local building company.
-
The building was only 185 cubic meters and were able to test this dwelling with our Retrotec 6000 fan and DM 32 differential meter.
-
Our Air Tightness technician is qualified to Level 1 to perform these Domestic Air Permeability Tests and issue reports and Certificates to Building Control Officers.
-
The result for this building was under the Islands requirement of 5.0m3/m2/hr@50Pa at 4.97 which should ensure reduced energy costs when compared to similar older dwellings.
-
Well done to Grahame Moore Builders who were the main contractors.
